加拿大联邦政府当地时间23日对本国的移民政策发布重要消息，其中包括重开联邦技术移民（FSW）计划此次公布的FSW申请年度限额2.5万人，准入类别从原先的24种扩大至50种，每个类别申请人总数不得超过1000人，申请人必须有至少1年相关工作经验，并接受教育、语言能力、工作经验、年龄和是否适应加拿大的评估，且达到英/法语最低要求。FSW中还包括最多500名加拿大博士学位获得者的申请限额，这些申请者必须确保被加拿大雇主雇用。该计划从5月1日开始实施。
